Corbie. 5.

Tonight I go to bed with a four year old (in my bed. That's beside the point, but that happens to be where he is.) Tomorrow I will wake up with a five year old in my arms. Or more likely, laying smack dab on top of me. My Corbie.

Oh Corbie. You make us laugh. And you make us cry...some days with tears of joy, some days in frustration of WHY OH WHY can't you just put you're own toothpaste on your toothbrush without needing HELP!!??

You love to sing, you LOVE to dance. You have suddenly discovered a passion for colouring and drawing. You have requested an Art Table for your birthday...and you're getting a most excellent one! You are an amazing little lego builder, Minecraft architect, helper, lover of all things, snuggler, joker, stick-yer-tounge-outter, brother, son, and friend. And I love you more than just about anything in the whole wide world. You make me smile. Always.

Happy birthday my little munster. My baby boy. May your life continue to be filled with joy, with laughter, with snuggles, with art tables (and art,) and with love, friendship, and making people smile. The world needs more things that can bring joy to it, and I think you might just be one of them.

I love you, Corben. You have stolen my heart. You remind me so much of your dad, and maybe that's why I love you so.

I hope 5 is awesome. Your best year yet. I truly believe this, and every year following it, has the potential to be just that.

xoxo
